Michael Davis was Chairman of The Space Industry Association of Australia, the peak national body for the Australian space industry. He is also a member of the South Australian Government's Space Development Advisory Group and is actively involved in organising the International Astronautical Congress to be held in Adelaide in 2017. From 2011 to 2014 Michael was Co-Director of the Southern Hemisphere Summer Space Program, a partnership between the International Space University and the University of South Australia. His professional experience includes active involvement in a number of complex projects in the international space industry and in software commercialisation, environmental regulation, telecommunications, medical research, international telemedicine and assisting start-up companies.
Jackie Slaviero is a STEM education expert, International Ambassador of the Honeywell Educators @ Space Academy and a member of the NSW Board of Studies Consultative Committee for the new Australian Curriculum. Selected as a top ICT teacher in the ‘Technology Leaders Program’ at Macquarie University Innovations Centre, Jackie works to promote, develop and share strategies in 21st Century Education and technology, Gifted and Talented Education, Aboriginal Education, Special Education and Multicultural Education.
With over 25 years experience in the area of wireless communications research, development, commercialisation and management, Jeff Kasparian is Deputy Chair on the Executive Council of the Space Industry Association of Australia. Formerly, Jeff was a director at the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR) at the University of South Australia, developing and maintaining key programs and relationships with external stakeholders in government and industry, both nationally and internationally. ITR is Australia’s largest university-based research and development organisation focussing on the area of wireless communications technology research and development.
